I've played with a lot of the alpha rail with flip up sight.

The front sights seem to be a bit wobbly  "Side to Side" on the majority of them. Not a very solid feeling.

I have had both...  I prefer no sight, so I can have more of a modular setup.   I like having a light at 12 position and if you have a sight there that is a no go.

The only reason I went without the sight is that I already had a Troy front sight, but I would have gone for the rail with the sight otherwise.  Is Troy ok on here again?

Maybe in the technical forums. GD is a different story, though. If I didn't buy products because of a company's political views, I prob wouldn't have much at all. The rail is lightweight and feels great. Pretty simple. I am considering putting some offset sights on mine, though.

I have a Troy carbine with the sight in. I like it due to not having to more stuff hanging off my gun plus it provides a little more protection.
