| Tried google and a searched a few forums, but I couldn't find the answer I was looking for. Is the KeyMod system just a standardized method of attaching extra rail sections, or are there accessories that mount directly to KeyMod handguards? Thanks an advance for any useful replies. |
| Both actually. Many rail sections attach to the keymod sections. The end goal is for the aftermarket to develop accessories that will mount directly to the keymod without the intermediary picatinny rail. This will provide for a lower weight and much less bulk. |
