Hi everyone,
Can you guys tell me about these BCGs? I want to know the quality and if any issues past and present. They are as follows - ICE Arms DSA Spikes AIMs Surplus (see below for the info) There are two at AIMs surplus and they are not marked with a name. The first one is $99.99 and its under "Specials" the other one is $109.99 and it is under their AR-15 parts BCG category. Thanks everyone. |

If you can get the Spikes, that would be the one to go with. Spikes would be properly staked, HP MPI tested, C158 bolt, chrome lined carrier and key, auto carrier. Why are you limited to just these brands? Thanks and I'm not limited to just these brands it seems to be the ones I'm finding in my budget right now. I have found DSA, ICE and I think Spikes for $119.99. I'm open to others just let me know what is out there. I have also found Stag Arms for $113.99. Thanks guys keep the info coming. |
Look at the bottom rear end of the M16 bolt carrier on the top left pic, and also the right (bottom view) M16 carrier, it have extra material. Quoted:
Okay another questions, tell me the difference in M16 BCG vs AR-15? M16 BCG/ carriers are legal to buy and use, major high quality manufacturers such as BCM, Colt, Daniel Defense, PSA, Spike's, etc. are supplying their rifles with them. All my 6 AR (5 carbines and one 20" rifle) have them either from the factory and two I upgraded myself, I have better reliability with fewer FTF with the full auto carriers, AR are originally designed by Stoner to have full auto carriers. From your list of BCG makers I would pick Spike's (except I don't like their spider logo on their carriers). |

I received my Aim 9310 BCG this weekend. All the specs are right and it looks really nice. The gas key staking is perfect. For $99 with free shipping, I'm a happy camper. Yeah I have been looking at those really hard and wondering about them. Are they the full auto BCG? Thanks and if you have pics and more info please share it. |

I keep looking at all the BCGs on so many pages trying to figure out if they are true full auto BCGs or AR-15 BCGs. Does anyone know if Palmetto State is an M16 BCG or AR15? I think they have a sale on their blemished ones for 79.99. Thanks everyone. |

Chrome lined key and carrier, grade-8 gas key hardware properly staked, shot peened MPI bolt. I haven't taken the bolt apart, so I can't comment on the extractor spring yet. I don't have any photos, but it looks just like any other mil-spec BCG. |

It is easy to tell a "full-auto" carrier, because the cut-out in the bottom is even with the one in the top. Also, most manufacturers will distinguish the two by the description "M-16" vs. "AR-15" carrier. |

Okay keep me and everyone posted because that is a good deal and it might be one I go ahead and buy as I'm buying some other parts from them. Quoted:

The one thing I noticed on a lot of the sites they will say M16/AR-15 so I never know if it is a full auto BCG or if they are just associating them both together so people know it will work in the AR-15. |
