Ok So i purchased a Mag Tactical lower recently. I know there is a lot of people out there who question the integrity of their lower receivers because of the magnesium alloy its made out of. Im happy to report mine is still in one piece. So lets get to the review! This is my first review so cut me some slack!

Fit/Finish
The finish of this lower receiver was perfect when it was un-boxed but has since shown some wear. The part that contains the detent for the front takedown pin has started chip (Paint). This is because of the dust cover hitting it after i charge the weapon. Im not going to send it Back to mag Tactical because the chip does not bother me. There is also some wear around the magwell. the only mags I have ever used in this gun is 30 round PMAGS. . The fit of this lower was absolutely perfect! I was extremely impressed with the fit of it!  The upper I have on this lower is a PSA upper receiver (Review of that coming soon) and there is ZERO wiggle between the two! So i give the fit/finish of the lower a 8/10 because of the wear after such a low round count (500 rounds)

The LPK Installation
I did not install this myself but I talked to the guy who did. He Said he had zero issues installing a CMMG lpk in this lower. I have not had any issues with the trigger pin drifting out at all. It appears to me that everything fits nice and snug.

If you have any other questions about the lower I will Happily answer them. I hope to get Pics up ASAP. I will aslo update at 1000 round count!
Thanks

I picked up a MAG lower and put it together using a PSA lower kit. I'm using mine with my AR57 upper. The AR57 upper fits tight to the lower. I put my stripped Aero upper on the MAG and it fit snug too. I'm happy with mine.

Do you really notice the weight difference?

I do with mine as I am running BUIS only and a 16" pencil barrel and basically shoot only 20 rd mags out of preference. Loaded I'm at 6lbs 6oz. But I'm sure if you hang a red dot, flashlight , bi-pod etc off of it then no you won't tell a difference.

That sounds like a winner.

I got a Mag Tac lower about 3 months ago. Overall I am not really impressed. I bought it for a light weight build. The Painted on finish on mine is easy to chip and have wear marks. I used a CMMG lower kit on it and had  trouble with the trigger pin  and trigger. The pin was hard to put in and the trigger was really stiff at first. The dealer had the Mag Tacs and Noveske lowers when I bought it. Wish I had paid the extra $20 and got the Noveske
