I can't make up my mind between two rails. I have both rails already sitting on my workbench waiting. This is for my light weight sbr build. I have a 11.5 inch barrel going on the sbr. I am building the sbr for my innovative arms suppressor.

The first rail and currently the one I am leaning towards is the centurion arms c4 9 inch rail. Weight 10.07 oz. It seems to have a better way of mounting to the barrel nut. I have a new core 15 barrel nut I could use with it. This rail adds more mounting options.

The other choice is the troy alpha rail 9 inch. The only weight I can find online is 20oz with the optional rails. That seems high for a light weight rail. The rail itself seems about the same weight as the centurion. I like the idea of the squid grips and the rail feels decent when I grip it. I do not like the way this rail mounts to the stock barrel nut. And I can't use the new core 15 barrel nut I have because it mounts using the little lip on the barrel nut and the core15 does not have this.

The C4 all day.
Its tough to beat a light weight quad rail that looks up as solid as that (Larue, and DD quality IMO)
And its a badass looking rail

I cannot say which is better but for me the rounded rails are a lot more comfortable.

+1 on the C4.

No need to mess with accessory rails, forward QD sling points included (if that's your thing) and the Centurion Arms stuff is rock solid (not that the Troy isn't).

I love the round rails. My current favorite is the Noveske NSR. If/when the direct mount accessories are abundant, I think it will be the perfect rail.

Of your two, I like them both and would with the one that locks up best.

FPNI.

You really are looking at two entirely different rail types but I would totally go with the C4.  I've had 4 different DD rails and just got my first C4......I'm hooked.  I absolutely love the mounting design to the barrel nut.

Fucking nice.  What length, 10.5"?  I like the LW profile, too.  Looks like a light bastard.

Out of those two definitely the C4 and that might be the best choice period.

I do like the mounting system and feel of the Samson Evolution over the Troy Alpha though.

Of those two, I'd opt for the C4.

I'd also consider the Noveske NSR.

I don't like quad rails for the way they feel, an the limited mounting options. I like Apex  This midlength comes in at 9 oz, and clamps on the barrel nut ehe same as the c4.

Well I guess that decides it... Centurion C4 is the winner.
