Hey guys,

I am just wondering if any of you have used the Rainier Arms Mini Compensator and if so, how do you like it? I have been thinking about getting the BattleComp 1.0 but it is a little pricey. If the Rainier Arms ones are just as good I would prefer to save  little money. If you have used both the Rainier Arms and the BattleComp let me know the pros and cons of each please.

Thanks.

I have two I bought at the intoductory price. They are freaking sweet, throw a huge fireball, and control muzzle climb very well.

I have one, like it a lot.  Since its on my first AR, dont have anything to compare it to.  It has weight, so should help with muzzle climb.

I think that sums it up nicely.

I am curious about this as well. I am not really concerned about it being too loud, I actually expect it to be too loud.

Thanks for your input. I think I am just going to order it. They are only $50.

It is an open sided brake, it is going to be loud like most other open sided brakes.  While they might not all sound exactly the same, they are all going to be pretty close.  Do NOT buy this if you are thinking it is somehow going to redirect noise away from you or make the weapon more quiet.

I wasn't thinking it was a silencer or noise reducing device, I just know that some brakes are loud.

I think all brakes that are running open ports are going to sound similar.

Did no one release you yet so we can get some pictures?

There was a glitch, and roughly 4,000 different uploaded images were "displaced".  I'll give you three guesses how happy am I about that.  I went from having the largest set of AR15 images online, to just having under 2,000 which were on a different server (and were untouched).

I've got pictures of the item in question, it is more a matter of locating them at this point.

I installed one an OA-93 with a 6 1/2 inch barrel just for gits and shiggles.  Loud as F**K is an understatement.  And like someone else said, it throws a nice fireball.

Holy jebus,  that must be ridiculously loud.

I want night pics of that throwing flame.

I just put one on my 10.5", will be testing it this weekend. Had a Battlecomp on it for awhile, we'll see how the blast compares!

Has a bit more blast than the Battlecomp, similar muzzle rise reduction.
I think I'll leave it for now, the blast is half the fun!

I agree. I love the blast! I am so happy I decided to go with the mini comp. Its just so much cheaper than the battlecomp and it reduces muzzle climb plenty for me!
