Just wondering why no one uses them like G triggers  the selection of G triggers is lil over whelming. I can't figure which one I want our need, I know I don't need a super light trigger.

Those of us who use them are too busy shooting with them and have no complaints to get on the net with!!  Timney triggers work just fine and I have 4lb triggers in my AR15 and LR308. They're some of the best triggers that I've pulled on in 52 years of shooting.

The 3lb Timney in my .308 AR has never failed to fire, even with hard German DAG primers.

Best trigger I've got.

Timneys are nice, just depends if you want a single stage or two stage.  If you can't make up your mind on the Geissele's choices, I'd recommend the SSA or reading their application guide on their website to find the one that suits your needs.  Good luck.

I normally use the SSA FCG.
I don’t remember Timney having an AR FCG when I got my first SSA.
One of my usual criteria is no adjustments.
Also I was raised on Garands and M1As so the transition to the SSA was a natural one.

This.   I have both and they are both excellent products.

That might just take Timney out right there.

Figure out what you are looking for, and go from there.  The magic "G" makes a variety of fantastic triggers, so does Wilson Combat with their TTU drop in trigger packs.  The key is figuring out what you like and need.

One thing I don't fully understand that I'd like to know more about, it why stop with the SSA for a combat trigger? Why not go lighter with the SSA-E??

People often say the triggers are too light for a certain role. I didn't always consider lighter better, but why would a Trigger be too light for 3 gun or combat?

I'd imagine for combat if you are running/sliding etc in a gunfight and your weapon isn't in safe because you are in the process of shooting, you dont want to accidentally pull a feather-light trigger.

I have a 4lb. single stage Timney in my .308 and love it; by no means do I think it's too light and it's definitely not a "feather-light" trigger.

I have a friend with a Browning 22 Mag rifle and that is a light trigger.

Mr. Geissele talks about this himself in the SSA install video on YouTube, he brings up a good point that in a high stress situation a light trigger with ice sickle break (2 stage) is probably not best

i have a 4lb timney and a ssa-e. 4lbs does not seem 'super light' to me and pulling it seems very deliberate. but i ain't no commando, i just like things that go bang.
