Trying to finish a lower build, will most likely host a 22lr upper.  Saw some buttstock kits that were very cheap, but noticed the tube is made of composite.  Will that suffice for a 22 or should I hold out for an aluminum one in case I put a 223 or 6.8 on there eventually?

A composite (read plastic) buffer tube really wont hurt anything on a .22 but I would shy against installing one just in case I ever had to move a 5.56 upper on to it in an emergency. If you are on a budget, UTG makes a very cheap mil spec kit that has a decent buffer tube. That is about as cheap as I would go on a lower that is dedicated to shooting .22LR. Check Amazon.
