| What's the scoop on these people. I see that they are a vendor here. Does anyone have any experience with them? |
|
I have bought a few things from them over the years and they are pretty decent overall. The FAL's they produce are great and the AR is ok for the money. They had some initial issues out of the gate with thier AR uppers , but for the most part have taken care of that.
The shipping is not the best so if you are in a hurry i would look elsewhere. I bought one of their M4 type uppers and I have not had any issues with it after 2k of rounds. If you do a search you can see some of the issues they had. |

I bought a FAL receiver from DSA a few years ago. I waited for 19 months before I received it! It was pretty crazy for FAL nuts back then. When I was assembling my rifle I noticed the receiver was out of tolerance in a few places, namely the bolt carrier rails. I couldn't even get the bolt to lock! It would jam about 1/2" before lock which made head spacing impossible. When I called them about it, they said send them all of my pertinent parts and they would fix it for a fee. I was cooked at that point!!!
I could go on and on about their quality control issues related to the FAL receivers and their incredibly slow and sketchy customer service. I hope their AR stuff is better than the FAL products. So this is not meant to be a flame to DSA. Simply my experience with them. Everybody else should take it for what it's worth to them and form their own opinions. |

I bought a AR upper receiver from DSA when they first offered them.It was not machined properly so the charging handle would bind when inserted into the upper.
The jerk I spoke to at DSA said if I send it back, they would replace it when they got some more in. This clown said they didn't have any more to replace my defective part, but had some for sale on their website if I wanted to buy another one
Now I just throw away the catalogs they send me,as I will never buy anything from them ever again. |

I've had good luck with two DSA upper assemblies. An M4 carbine length and Mid length.
Not any trouble with them whatsoever. I think their wait times and inventory should be posted on their website to prevent customer s from getting POd. I ordered another complete upper from them a week+ ago they said it would be 3 months - fine I'm OK with that I'm in no rush. But If you order online you don't know if its backordered or not - they really need to fix that. I've been buying from them for years without hassles, but haven't bought FAL stuff for a few years now though. |
