I built my first AR earlier this year and now have the itch. I am looking to put together an upper with 20" barrel and want to stick with the rail system. I was curious what the longest quad rail system is on the market? I tried to do a forum search and came up empty. Thanks for any input.

DD 14" on a 18" barrel.

So what makes you want all that rail? you'll never use more than a couple inches of it.

Also OLY makes a 16" FIRSH rail.

15" rails made by Troy, Geissele (not quad rails though, modular). Maybe a few others.

In all honesty, I do not NEED the entire length but I do prefer the look of it. I do not care so much about weight for this specific upper as it will only be used on range days and for prairie dog hunting...both utilizing a rest.

The Geissele is a thing of beauty. I like the KAC URX 3.1 better, but its not 15" long.

MOE grip on that expensive rifle almost looks "off."

You should really at least spring for a MIAD configured for the same grip, if only just for continuity with all the rest of the parts.

Better than an A2 grip. lol I kid

Anyways op the Daniel Defense lite rail rifle extended is 14 inches long and weighs 17.4 ounces. I am not sure if that is the longest quad rail, but that is the longest i would want on a 20 inch barrel.

I know it looks like it needs some sharp, futuristic, and metal looking grip

I'm really happy with my Samson EVO 15". It's lighter than most 12" rails too, so it actually balances better.

My new favorite is the M.I. Gen ll SS. You can add rails where you need them.

Go to LaRue's website and look at their complete uppers.  They have different rail lengths side by side with different barrel lengths.  You can see the differences of the longest rails on the 20 inch barrel.  They have an excellent comparison photo.
