Help me out guys. I am completely stumped on how to install one of these (I have the version that has a hole in the top for the FSB). I bought an out of box demo set with no instructions, thinking that I would be able to find something on the internet for an installation guide.....nada. I have removed the FSB and have been trying to figure it out but its like trying to solve a chinese puzzle. Questons.......
* I installed the DD adapter and screwed on and torqued the DD barrel nut. The adapter is still loose; is this normal? * The top secion of the rail has two metal tabs near the front, about 1 1/2" long that have a screw attaching them to the inside of the rail. The other end has a hole; what are these for? * I guess the top rail and the FSB need to be installed simultaneously; how do I beat the pins back in the FSB with the rail top in place? If anyone has any knowledge of how to install this beast it would be most appreciated. Thanks |

The only (and biggest) problem is my rail is the extended version with the hole in the top for the FSB. I am baffled as to how to attach the rail and then install the FSB. Its not possible to put the rail on with the FSB in place. |
| I don't have one, but from what I can see in pictures. The adapter will be loose until you tighten the rail to it. The metal tabs are probably to help align the lower portion, and even with the top rail in place, the taper pin area appears to be below the rail, so you should be able to re-install them without a problem before you put the lower rail on. |
