Has anyone ever used 'Ace Tactical Stocks' like the ones here? Model 1 Sales

Are they any good?

I had one of their stocks on a DR200. I loved it. I did rewrap it in paracord instead of the foam.

Right on. You wrapped it in 550 cord because the foam fell apart? Or you didn't like the foam?

I have their socom stock on a 14.5"  and I like it, it does seem to transmit the "boing" spring sound more than a conventional tube, but it's not bothersome

The para cord wrap is a good idea, I might steal that.

Foam was fine.  Para cord felt better when shooting believe it or not!!! I guess just the sponge feeling on my cheek was wierd. I will say this, it looked a hell of alot better!!!!! Now I can not say this 100%, but a buddy of mine has a DSA para and we saw another one this weekend and they both look like ace stocks. Again I can not confirm that.

I had the ARFX years ago.  It was solid and comfortable.  Zero complaints.

I run an M4 SOCOM stock on one of my carbines and it is without a doubt, the strongest collapsible stock I have ever seen in my life.

I have the ARFX skeleton stock & really like it.  I might give the para cord a try also.

I never got the logic of the socom stock.  The strongest stock in the world. Only usable on 5.56ish recoil rounds, can't handle anything more stout then 7.62x39. All the big boys are out.

Just took my Ace ARFX off tonight, will be putting on an ACS-L tomorrow when it arrives. ARFX is a very good stock - extremely solid, very sturdy. Foam had a nice feel on the cheek. Only swapping because I want a shorter LOP and different look. Great stocks for the money though.

Where can i find instructions on tying/wrapping para cord?  I would like to do the pattern that you see on knife handles.

Have the ARFX skeleton and like it too. Been paracord wrapped since day one and held up good.

Yes it does look nice Pupp86.

I would like to do the wrap pattern like on the jap swords. Criss cross I guess you would call it.

Thanks. I almost wish i would have went with something like that but not that talented or patient.

Did mine with some friction tape around the buffer tube, started at the received end ran a section on the underside and then just wrapped the remaining. The fiction tape allows the 550 to stick pretty good givng a tight wrap. Once I got to the end just tied off, melted the ends, and tucked under the last couple of wraps.
