Hi guys,

I would like to know, is it a real Colt Lower. In my opinion , NO. This is an auction on a German Plattform.

I would like to send the results to the seller. He sells this for another guy. Can you write reasons?

Best Regards

I don't know, but I would say no. No it is not a real Colt. I could be wrong. I don't think Colt ever used pictograms around the selector.

And I don't know why a lower would be marked "For LEO use only" if was an export lower.

The castle nut is the old style also. It looks like a gun built from parts, not the factory.

Here's the best closeup pic of a real AR-15A3 I could find doing a quick search on the web. Note that the right side has NO markings for the safety.

I could be wrong, but something looks a little Franken Rifleish here.

Actual AR-15 A3 Tactical Carbine - my Spidey Sense tells me the one you've pictured is a fake.

Pics of my old A3 in this thread. It looks like a fake. I didn't take the time to post another photo but there are no pictographs of the safe/fire indicators on the right side. My serial was LBO, new in 1999. What year is he saying it is?

I've never seen a Colt, old or new, with pictogram markings for the saftey. And all the engraving is to fine. It looks alot like the fake Colt markings guys have put on Nodak Spud lowers when they are building clones they want to get as close as possible.

In total agreement with everyone else here.
I'm a little surprised no one else pointed out the backward pictograms in the pic of the right side (pointing toward the shooter).

Also, while my experience is hardly comprehensive, every Colt semi only lower I've seen has the safety stops milled flat.

ETA - As per Circuit's picture above.
