Im looking for a upper receiver for a build. I just picked up a BCM bolt carrier group, Gunfighter Mod 4 charging handle and a forward bolt assist. I need a receiver now and then a berrel. Im looking for it to be stripped because im taking pride in building it myself piece by piece. BCM doesnt have any in stock and who knows when thry will be back in so im looking for alternatives. I have a CMMG lower and the upper parts already stated.

Will the BCM parts function in any receiver? I think they will but figured i'd ask before I buy. Send me in the right direction. Also, any recomendations on barrels, 16"?

The BCM parts will fit any receiver. Just search with the site sponsors for a stripped upper; I'm sure you will find one. Which specs are you looking for in a barrel?

For the barrel, I want a 1/7 twist, chrome lined, NO front sight block, just a low profile gas block due to the rail. I want it to be a 14.5 inch with compensator because of Mass laws. As for the legnth or profile I think i'll go with a mid legnth or a carbine. Im not sure exactly the differences between all the profiles but thats what im leaning toward. If you can give me more info that would be great or if there are any pros and cons.

Im a range shooter that is looking to do some training courses in the future. Im not military or LEO, not clearing rooms, yet anyway unless my life depends on it.
Thanks, Steve

Surplus Ammo and Arms. $59.99 stripped upper + $17.99 build kit. I've put this on about 5 rifles. Very nice. I like the American flag on the top rail, just in front of where your BUIS would go.
Mid-length or Carbine.
Nice link to an archive:

Thanks for the info, I just ordered that upper receiver from surplus ammo.
I think I decided on going with the mid-legnth so now i'll be getting that assembly at some point. Its too bad that website wont ship ammo to Mass. Between me and my friends were ready to do an ammo purchase, but they wont get my money for that. Too bad for me and them.

Yeah but they are in Washington and you are in Massachusetts. The savings on ammo would be offset but the shipping. Stick to someone closer to home or at least on your side of the Mississippi.

I think you'll find that living in MA. there will be many companys that will avoid your state like the plague. Being from just to the north of you, I know.

I do have quite a few companies that do ship to me so its not that big of a deal. Just pisses me off that I have to look to find them instead if just clicking the buy button.
