Hi All,
I have been reading here for a while and I am amazed at the wealth of knowledge on AR15.  So...here goes....I just finished my second assembly as I have the AR15 bug bad!  I have a new Delton 16" carbine upper with a standard carbine length stock/buffer asmbly. (pinned here in CT).  If I were to replace the stock with an A2 rifle stock/buffer asmbly. would that affect the reliability?  It is my understanding that the rifle and carbine buffers are obviously different in design, and was wondering if the switch alone would be good to go, or if other changes would need to be made beyond the stock being switched.  Sorry if this is a common silly question, but any help is greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

I should have clarified, the rifle stock with rifle length extension and rifle length buffer will work fine.  You can't reuse the carbine buffer.  I'm sure you knew this, but I just wanted to make sure.
