What the heck does that mean?
Is there a difference in the style or features? Thanks |

Thanks It means that either they don't have the pre-ban features (baynet lug, removable flash hider), or they *do* but were made post-ban and thus are verboten in states that took the federal ban and copied it without a sunset. |

Am I missing something? Aren't pre-ban lowers ones that, by S/N, can be traced back and proven to be manufactured before the AWB? Doh, you're right, lowers. I really don't know what they mean there. Other than MFG date, what's the difference? I suppose in a ban state, you could never put a pre-ban upper on a post-ban lower? |

Well uh OK. I'm talking about on a stripped lower receiver. Such as http://www.surplusammo.com/products/Aero-Precision-AR15-Stripped-Lower-Receiver-1-at-%2479.99.html In the description it says not pre ban lower. Not sure what your talking about as far as a FH or bayonet lug. I thought maybe it was referring to high or low shelf, but not sure, so I asked. Thanks arghhh. I see you posted while I was still typing. |

Thanks There will be nothing different inside, shelf or otherwise. Nothing on the lowers was restricted or different pre or post ban AFAIK. The only difference is you can't put an upper with pre-ban features on a post-ban lower in a ban state. |
