[ARCHIVED THREAD] - DD RIS II ?

I just received an upper that has the DD RIS II. There is a small (approx 1/16") gap between the upper receiver and the hand guard.

Is this normal?

Cool - I don't see a gap in any of the pictures used in their advertising. I just wanted to be sure.
