I want the one that reduces muzzle climb and felt recoil the most, dont care about sound.... it is for my sons ar- so thats why im looking for those 2 charactistics specifically |

Hmmmm....let me go out on a limb here. I have both on 2 different AR's, and I like them both, but each one works a little different.I think that as purely a brake...meaning negating recoil, the PWS is better SLIGHTLY.... downside is that it vents a lot of gas rearward ( meaning it's doing it's job) and is VERY blasty rearward and out the sides. Battlecomp is a very good brake, and is loud, but not quite as sharp a blast, very little rearward but all out the sides ( and top ). Look at the direction the gases are vectored on BOTH comps you will see what I'm talking about. I think both/ either work well, remember we're not talking a hard recoiling caliber. Do I see myself selling all 3 of my PWS brakes for the Battlecomp ? Not hardly.....do I like the 1 installed on my new build? Sure do !
Hope this helps... |
