| I am looking at Armalites free float tube handguard for my next build. I was wondering if anyone uses one. I have not seen any in the forum. If you could tell me what you think of them I would appreciate it. John |

The new tapered designed that are made of aluminum are very nice for the price. That is if you just want to free float the barrel and have an indexed provision for a bipod. Adding the rail sections at $40 a pop sort of defeats the purpose.
If you want rails, the Samson Evolution and new Troy design (which both use the standard barrel nut) would be the ticket. ETA: Further the Samson and Troy design offer a continuous top rail or monolithic look. |
