Truly dig mine. I think a low profile, long free float, with the ability to add only the rails you need, is the way to go. And My MI ones are not appreciably heavier than the original style, went on easily and are very stable. That looks awesome. Dig the paint job man! |

I've had mine for about 5 years now. Only issue I've had is a screw habitually coming lose, but I gorilla-glued it (all i had at the time) and the rail has been perfect since.
I have the 10" FF As far as AFG concerns, I just hammered my AFG (version 1) on. Sure the inside of the "wings" got scraped, but who cares. If anything its a more secure fit. |
| I'll also vouch for MI rails. I installed the T12 a few thousand rounds ago and it's held up great, nothing has loosened up at all. The fit and finish is excellent. Like other have said though, it is a little heavier than DD although not so much that it would keep my from buying one. Installation is easy as long as you have the proper tools (see above). |
Indeed there was a rash of out of spec rails for a while there. I don't understand how you can miss that quality check if your MAKING RAILS.
I have one MI rail. They're a little too fat.. so I have to use ladder rail covers which I don't prefer. Mine has been OK for hanging lights. But I wouldn't buy another MI rail just for the size issue and the risk of getting an out of spec unit. |

MI is taking care of my issue, and responded quickly, still been almost a week..
After I got the It's shipping out today message, I have not gotten a response about my request for a tracking number. Last few times I have dealt with the manf with an issue they sent the items next day air, oh well, hopefully monday... And it's a really nice looking rail, good machining and very light. |
