2 part question to anyone who uses a Collapsible buttstock.
1: Do you use the Pads that go over the end of the buttstock, like recoil pads? 2: If so, what one did you find works best for you? |

I don't use one, but I've heard good things about this one.

| The best reason I have ever heard to have one was so the guys rifle stood up in the corner on a hard floor without sliding out. As far as shooting with it, pointless. If recoil is an issue I'd an issue run a compensator. They will help keep you on target and the muzzle down. |

I prefer the built-in kind which screws to the end of the stock because it doesn't slip off. A slip on buttpad could be tied down to the stock with nylon ties, paracord, etc, to prevent it from getting loose, but I prefer built-in type because of a cleaner setup. This... I use a CTR or Imod on most of my rifles and the main reason I chose those over the basic Vltor buttstock that BCM sells for $50 is the built in buttpad. |
