In this day and age of multi purpose rail mounting systems, does anybody sell plain old free float tubes anymore? going for the clean look on my middy.

How about these......

This is the current knurled Hogue yube.

The older design Hogue Overmolded design.....

The hiperform Carbon tube....

DPMS makes a very plain, 1-piece, aluminum tube as well.

Model 1 makes one for about $40 and so does DPMS.

I have one but I plan on swapping it out for something with the ability to attach a bi-pod, sling, AFG, and Surefire in any combination I desire.

I have the Clark Custom carbon fiber tube on two rifles.

Regular tubes are out there. They aren't as popular as the railed tacticool handguards

I run an RRA one-piece on my middy. Looks nice and works well with paracord wrap to keep heat under control. Also check out the Midwest tube with top Picatinny rail, which I also like.

JP, Troy, and MI all make modular rails. They're getting more popular, it's an easy way to lose weight, and no need to cover up rails you aren't using.

I'm torn between the Troy TRX Extreme and a PRI Carbon myself.
