Okay, I've been offered a complete Armalite M4 profile 16in carbine upper w/ BCG & CH, for $475. It has less than a 100rds throught it, I think it's a pretty decent deal. I would just like to see what the hive thinks. I'm assuming armalite is still has decent quality products?

Which upper is it...LEC,A4 midlength with A2 FSB or standard with gas block?
Also whats the date of manufacture or barrel markings?
Reason I aks this is that the standard M15A4 midlength uppers and the LEC uppers all sold for around $500.00 up until recently.
The recent production A4 midlength with the A2 FSB and the LEC uppers are higher in price now,but the standard M15A4 with railed gas block remains at the older price point. Also the most recent production barrels are CMV...older barrels were 4140.So there is a value difference when looking at used assemblies and whats currently available new and unused.
So for a few dollars more you could possibly get a new upper with a one year warranty.

I personally think Armalite offers a very nice product. So I would not worry too much about overall quality as long as the upper is factory original.

Sounds like a fair deal to me, I have an armalite upper and really like there products.
If it is as good as described I would say go for it.
