I need to buy two Mil spec Buffer tubes. Who has good mil spec buffer tubes for a good price? I saw Bravo companies, are they any good? They say they are made to mil spec dimensions but they don’t say if they are completely mil spec regarding materials and coatings. I don’t know if it matters but does anyone make a true mil spec tube? Does it really matter? Is it any stronger than other tubes like the Bravo company tube? I am replacing my commercial tubes with these mil spec tubes, so I just want to make sure I only have to buy them once.

The Bravo Company site clearly states:
"Carbine receiver extension (buffer tube) machined from 7075T6 and manufactured to Mil-Spec dimentions and specifications"
So yes they are good to go.

Other 7075T6 tube choices include:
LMT
CMT/Stag
Colt
Vltor (some but not all)

BCM is fine, as is Vltor, LMT, and CMT.

Do you need the whole kit or just the tube?

Spike's has a complete kit for $85.00 and the tube assembly for $59.95

The receiver extension tube is made to the “mil-spec” diameter of 1.146″, enabling the owner to install the widest variety of aftermarket stocks, and ensuring the best thread engagement between the tube and the receiver. This isn’t the only feature – it’s also made from 7075-T6 aluminum, in exactly the manner prescribed by the government for military M4s, all the way down to anodizing and dry film lube on the inside. The one deviation is that it has six positions and thus offers a greater stock adjustment range.

After trying about 6 different types of milspec tubes I prefer BCMs. They have a snug fit on my SOPMOD and allow magpul stocks to move easily yet fit nicely,

This doesn't answer your question, but I got an Armalite Mil-spec setup and it measures 1.148" OD, has a flat back, but it has the smoothed down threads (not fully protruding) ala commercial, and it also has 6 positions ala commercial.

+1 I also noticed this with my BCM buffer tube, my Magpul CTR, MOE, Vltor Modstock, and EMOD fits snug with the BCM.

To OP dana:

If you prefer a nice finish and looks good consider the Vltor, they're only 5 positions but it's the best looking buffer tube that I have so far, my other mil-spec size brands that I also have are Colt and LMT.

For those of you that care for a tight fit (me).  Paint the extension or the inside of the butt, or both.  You can take out the rattle with a rattle can

I just picked up a DSA mil-spec from Midway for about $17. Put it on the CTR stock and it is a tight fit. Can't beat the price. Also it is described as a 5 position stock but there are 6 stop points so either they changed it or they calculate the positions different.
