I tried to install a timney 3 lb pound trigger in.154 lower but the pins just fall right out .what am I doing wrong?

Remove the 2 set screws on the side.

There will be another set of screws underneath. These screws will actually put pressure on the pins to stop them from rotating/falling out.

Install the top 2 screws again, these will act as the locking screws to keep the bottom from backing out.

I dont see any sccrews on the side only on the bottom. I have the one piece dropin with a golden casing

he means remove the set screws from the top, on each side of the channel.  There are 2 sets of set screws that are supposed to be stacked on top of each other.  The first set applies pressure to the bottom of the trigger pocket and holds things in place, and the second set is just to keep the first set from backing out.  The first ones are snugged and then the second ones are tightened ON TOP of the first set...

See the two holes under the spring legs, near the middle? That's where the setscrews are.  Install and tighten one set, then the install and tighten the second set on top of the first set...
