| Have a mil spec rec ext. Looking at the Tapco m4 T6 stock, any issues with this stock? It's almost half the price of the BCM m4, is there any reason not to go with Tapco, or are there any other mil spec m4 commercially available? These are the only 2 ive found. Other suggestions? Looking for stock body under $50, I already have a MOE and might get another but looking for something maybe a little heavier. |

I'd go with he BCM since it will fit your existing receiver extension. The Tapco is commercial spec & will be too loose on your mil-spec tube. Tapco sells a mill spec version, at least thats what they claim, does anyone have any negative experience first hand? Tapco is an industry partner I thought that they would be gtg, am I wrong? |
| I have two of the tapco M4 stocks, one black and one OD. No problems, and once had a stuck case of wolf, had to do the pull charging handle and bang the buttstock on the concrete shooting table thing to get it loose. No damage. Some of their stuff is a bit gimacy, but the M4 stock seems to be fine. |

BCM, LMT, Colt, S&W, CMMG and Daniel Defense all make Mil-Spec dimension Gen2 M4 style stocks that show up on the EE all the time for well under $50 (Usually $25 - $35)

| Yup, I have been buying parts from BCM, and I've seen the pics, but what my question is, does the Gen 2 stock address any deficiancies in the Gen 1 stock? Or is the Gen 2 stock a cost saving measure? When I compare the two pics, it looks like the Gen 1 stock is beefier in some areas like the buttplate, and the area around the slide lock pin. But I dont know if that means it is a stronger stock or not. Anyone have experiance with both types? BCM has both in stock. Thanks. |
