Does that stock come with a buffer tube? I just ordered one of the Spikes tactical m4 uppers and I am looking for a nice stock for it. I already have a MOE and I like it, but I want something with some storage and no movement at all. Plus I plan on running a 12'' YHM FF tube on this rifle so I want a slightly heavier stock to balance it out.

yes, but it does not come with a buffer or spring. It uses standard carbine springs and carbine buffer or at least a carbine length buffer.

It comes with everything you need except buffer and spring.

I just got one a week or two ago and like it. FYI it is the heaviest stock I have ever handled.

Too heavy? I haven't got to see one in person and probably won't be able to honestly. Maybe the ACS would be a better option.

The weight is good IMO.  ARs are always going to be front heavy, especially if you have FF rails and other crap out front.  The UBR brings it back into balance a bit.

Too heavy would be relative to the individual user. Mine is on a sbr I may move it to one of my 16'' rifles later. I would balance out a front heavy AR really nice.

The UBR weighs about 1 and a half lbs, I think...I know mine made my weapon very stock-heavy. But then again, so did a CTR once I put a LaRue rail on the front with a lo-pro gas block...

I have one on a rifle with a billet upper/lower, 12" rail, 16" Noveske stainless barrel and it really helps balance the rifle.

Tried it on my Noveske N4 14.5" barrel and it really makes it heavy in the ass end.  I'll likely stick with the good ol' M4 buttstock on my N4.

Thanks for in the input. May just cheap out and put a M4 stock on my BCM and my MOE on the Spike's. If I end up getting a nice FF rail for my spike's it will be my new go to. I wanted to put a 10-12'' rail on my BCM, but the pinned A2x makes that a PITA.

The ACS is a good alternative to the UBR if weight is an issue..add to the fact that you still get the storage you want..

I have tried m4, ACS, emod and UBR. A have the ACS on a 16" middy and the UBR will go on a 20" that I'm building.

m4 stock - 6.6 oz
emod - 11.8 oz
ubr - 23.3 oz

I had one and it was a nice stock but I just didn't like the extra weight it added so I sold it and went back to the CTR.

I just got my first UBR and mounted it on my designated "test mule", a 9mm carbine.  Yes, it's even heavier than the ACS I had on there before but I'm not finding it objectionable at all.  Plus, this has to be the stoutest stock I've ever handled, it even feels more solid than an A1 or A2.  My initial impression is that the cheekweld is almost identical to that on the ACR - if it's narrower, I'm not feeling the difference.

I don't think I'll be putting UBRs on my lightweight carbine builds but this may become my new standard for everything else.
