I have a colt le6920, and would like to put a rail on it. I have been looking at the larue 7.0,
Daniel defense and omega. Basically I don't want to sacrifice accuracy for ease of installation. If the larue is better I will send it to a gunsmith to have installed. What are your recommendations and do you recommend a gunsmith.

There won't be any accuracy difference between the two.

Are the omega rails a simple installation and are there any differences between the two?

No accuracy difference between the two, just ease of installation.  The Larue will require removal of the gas block but is a solid one peice rail,  the Omega will not require this but is a two peice rail. Also Larue doesn't have the continuos rail look on top if that maters to you, the Omega or DD Lite does.

Love my DD literails.... they don't call them "Literail" for nothing.

I myself just posted almost the exact same question! I have a 6920 and I want to put either the 7.0 Larue or the Omega 7.0.....and I just can't decide! I'm pretty sure that I'm going to get the Omega for now because I like the continuous rail design, and I can remove it if I want to oil the barrel or anything like that. I plan on slowly acquiring all of the necessary tools sooner or later, so I can get the Larue later on if the DD doesn't make me 100% satisfied. Have you made your purchase yet, and which one did you get? AND if you did go with Larue, how much did it cost to have it installed by your gunsmith?

DD Omega.  If I did choose anything else though it would be the Larue.

The Omega is extremely easy to install and very sturdy.
