I'm working on an A2 20" rifle that I carried in the Army.  Today I built an LRB lower with a RRA LPK and used an A2 butt stock kit from PK firearms.  The problem I have is the quality of the stock kit.  The stock is a grey color and not black and the butt plate is cheap plastic and not metal.  Do any manufactures make a USGI correct stock kit?  By the way, the LRB lower is a great lower!  I have built my other three AR's using Double Star and Nodak Spud.  Thanks AR junkies!

Rubbing CLP into the stock will cause it to turn black. All new stocks that I've seen are grey in color.

ETA: I took a look at my DPMS stock, and it has a metal butt plate. I've been rubbing it with CLP, and it's taken on a nice matte black color.

Thank you Sir for the info!  I think I will be searching for Colt stocks to obtain a metal butt plate.

Thank you! A2's have been my absolute favorite since I was a kid (21 years old). Next up will be to finish my A4 clone, then start on my XM16E1 (I'm a 20" carry handle junkie)

I bought a Colt A2 buttstock kit from Specialized Armament Warehouse and couldn't be happier.  It seems do be just as well made as the stocks on Military A2/A4s.
