Why did you choose your Noveske KX2?  Yeah, it's okay to say "because it looked cool".  I'm thinking about flas reduction and/or noise re-direction.  I know that ATF ruled it a Flash Hider/Suppressor.  Thank you.

Do you mean the KX-3?

It directs noise and concussion forward from the shooter and also protects those positioned laterally from you as well.  My carbine is unpleasant to shoot without the Piggy Brake.

It also helps increase pressure for short-barreled gas systems, but mine runs fine without the Noveske.

It has no flash reduction properties.

They're a godsend if you take any carbine courses with people around you firing shorties. They make all the difference in the world when you're standing forward and slightly to the side of a carbine that goes off. Without.... With KX3....

THEY'RE GREAT CROWD PLEASERS, TOO.

A FRIEND OF MINE ON THE MEMPHIS SWAT TEAM SHOOTING A 10.5" WITH KX3:

HE ACTUALLY SET HIS TARGET ON FIRE FROM FIVE FEET, WHILE BLOWING THE USUAL 12" HOLE IN IT AT THAT DISTANCE.

They are an absolute must for any shorty in my opinion.  I have one on my 11.5" and another should be delivered today for my new 10.5" build I am doing.

GOD SAVE THE PIG!!!

How is that Magpul B.A.D. Lever working out for you? Is it comfortable and easy to access?

For states with AWB's (e.g. CT and NY), does anyone here know if this is considered a flash hider or is it treated as a muzzle brake?

The Noveske KX3 is classified as a flash suppressor by the BATF FTB.

I had one for a while. I honestly didn't notice a difference in terms of muzzle blast and reliability of the weapon. So I sold it and just get a Vortex.

I wanted one so i didn't ruin anyone next to me at close quarters the the BATF seems to deem it a flash suppresor so commiefornia wont let me have it even though it spits out a flame hence the fire breathing pig .

My personal feelings are that they are unnecessary on a 10 inch or longer barrel, but great on the 7-8 inch barrels.  However once you have the cost and weight of the KX3, and the cost of the barrel, not to mention overall length, you could have just started with a 10 inch barrel.

I'm in the process of building the exact flame thrower
