How is the quality of a CAA Butt stock for those of you that have one?  I am trying to decide on CAA or RRA operators stock.  Does anyone have an opinon as to which is better? Thanks!

I haven't tried the RRA stokck but it looks really cool.  I do have the CAA and I like it..  Having the battery storage is nice.  People complain that it rattles on the tube, but it doesnt rattle when its in my shoulder and therefore doesnt affect accuracy.

I have the CAA stock and like it.. I am shooting my 450 Bushmaster with it and so far nothing bad has happened..

The only problem I had with the stock was it was not 'timed' correctly and did not cover the buffer type retaining pin enough.. I had to turn the stock another turn and then cut a deeper notch for the retaining pin and also file down the tube so the upper would close.. Easy fix and no problems since then

I went with the CAA. I liked the idea of the adjustable cheek rest option, which turned out to be pretty flimsy. The adjustable piece on the side moves every time you bump something. Works just fine punching paper from a bench though.

ETA: I also had this same problem.

Quality is very good on the CAA...I have 2 of them.  Be sure to buy the one that includes the tube (CBST), as I have seen problems in ones that dont fit quite right on other tubes.  They have a rock solid feel.

People say that CAA has a 'bad reputation' or is garbage or whatever but i have yet to see anyone around here report a failure or anything along those lines from a CAA stock.  The 'bad reputation' is all just rumor and hearsay.

The CAA stock is heavy as hell for a dolled up M4 stock body...if you want an upgraded stock, go with the CTR or the ACS if you want some storage capabilities...

Since so many CAA bashing thread are up today I just get to cut and past the below.
Magpul is a great product, however it is also the popular product. Remember Jr high when you where a teen and Levis, or what ever brand, was the cool brand to own and everything else was crap. Pretty much the same here. CAA makes a great stock. I sell them on the EE and have sent MANY to our troops overseas to be used in active combat. I have never had a return or issue from any of these sales saying that the CAA stock was junk. Many of those troops bought more CAA items and sent their friends to me. In fact we had a soldier post on one of the CAA bashing posts a month or so ago stating his CAA stock held up to everything he put it through while in Iraq.
Buy what you want to buy, make your own decision and leave Jr high in the past.

I love how some people bash one stock for being "too heavy" then turn around and give the stock of the week props for being "heavy enough to balance out a carbine."  My CAA grip is GTG and it's going on my 3-gun build. That brings up another question... why do you see so many CAA grips and ACE stocks in the 3-gun world, but not in the AR15.com gallery threads?

I have two CAA stocks.  They make a decent stock.  I have never expereinced any rattle in either.  It is nice and tight.  I did buy both with the tube.

I also have the MOE stock and am also happy with that.  Then again, the stock stock (sounds kind of funny) is OK too.  That rattles a we tad too much.

I have to agree with the Tick on the cool toy of the week trend.  Get what works and don't worry about what is ninja cool.

I've never seen any CAA products on 3-gun firearms.

Everybody's weapon isnt built the same. If you have a lot of crap bolted on to the front of your weapon, then a heavy stock WILL help balance it out. If you have a more basic weapon, a heavy stock will make the firearm rear-heavy.

I removed the D-ring, plastic handguards and front sight base on my weapon and replaced it with a 10" LaRue rail. Thing is light as hell. My weapon became tail heavy with the CTR, even though I had a VFG and tac-light mounted to the very end of the forearm.
