Hey Guys!

Greeting to all..  I come to seek wisdom and help.  I have had a Bushmaster 308 20 inch flat top for about 5 or 6 years now.  After 2 1/2 years of not firing it, I took it to a range here in Vegas, 50 yards is all we get here at one of the ranges.  After about 50 rounds, I took it home to clean.  And behold!  My bolt broke, must have broke while firing.  I guess I have to get a new bolt, but Bushmaster doesn't seem to have it online.  Any suggestions.  I don't know too much about the Armalites, would their bolts work?  Appreciate the feed back... positive or negative!

Thanks!

You should be able to get a replacement from Rock River.

There was a heat treating problem with the Bushmaster bolts. This has been corrected by RR when they took over and did a redesign of the rifle.

I do not think the Armalite Ar 10 bolt will work.

You might try posting this in the AR variants section. There will sure to be someone who is more knowlegable about the BM/RR 308s than I am.

Hope this helps,good luck!

You should be able to call Bushmaster and find if they have any stashed in the back.

Curious, what is your approx. serial number?  Under 500?  Between 500 and 1000?  Over 1000?

Thanks!

The Serial number on the rifle is 001348.  Amazing, I thought it went bad for me not firing it for three years.  I guess Bushmaster had a problem with it.  thanks for all the good input!  Arfcom still rocks!
