My general feeling from observing online pricing daily is:

Prices dropped a month ago, maybe longer, on AR15 rifles and parts.
Ammo prices have dropped not as much but have dropped a little.

I think the general feeling is that things have settled down.  I highly doubt
pricing will drop much further.  Sure you'll find a sale or deal here and there.

I think general pricing can only go up from here based on what and when Eric Holder
convinces Obama to do as far as gun legislation goes.  It might be that the big "O's"
still too busy with 2 War's, the Ecomony and Healthcare to tacke gun legislation at
this time.  So who knows if it's still on his "To Do" list after the major stuff gets taken
care of.

At some point we're bound to reach a saturation level in the market place. I mean really, there's a bizzillion ARs for sale at any given moment.

Well it's all about supply and demand.
Stuff in short supply still commands high prices, such as certain flavors of ammo.
And this could all go south very quickly, so I wouldn't hold out for even better prices if I really wanted something specific.
Get your basics covered, then start worrying about that new upper/scope/stock/laser or whatever.

Lauer has LMT for $85 and Superior for $75 and I got an email from Centerfire Systems for an unspecified machined lower for $80.
