Does anybody know why the UBRs have been on back-order for at least a couple of years now ?
As far as I know, the military is not using them as a std issued item, so why the backlog? I've seen on a few websites that some would go from $300 to $500 a piece if you can find one, which is crazy ! |

They are around more and more lately. Check Midway and MidwestPX. Both had FDE in stock for around $250 yesterday. Watch AIM also. They had them last week for about the same price. ETA: Midway MidwestPX +1 If you just look around a little you can find them in a lot of places right now for retail prices. |

The back log was they were too busy making Pmags. Now that they are all caught up, they are making other items again. I've seen them around at a number of different places. Waited like 9 months to get the inserts for my moe grips that hold a spare bolt and firing pin. As others have said they are starting to show up in stock. Just have to look around for them. I will say those UBR's look interesting. Haven't had a chance to play with one in person though. |
