| Anybody have any feedback on Lothar Walther barrels? Pros, cons, preferences to other barrel makers, etc. Specifically, I'm looking at the 16" M4 contour. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. |
| I ordered a upper from Americam spirit arms about 6-7 years ago, When ordering they told me that they had a couple of LW barreled uppers in stock, if I was interested. These were heavy 16"ers. I decided to pay the extra and get one. The sales man had nothing but good to say about them. To say the least i am impressed. This barrel will shoot nothing I have tried bigger then 1 moa, anywhere from 40 - 69 grain bullets. It has a 1/8 btw. The real magic happens when you feed it match bullets, or for some reason V-max bullets. With the black hills 60 grain v-max loading, I have shot several .25 inch groups. I honestly believe if you had a way to clamp the gun in a vice, it would put them in the same hole. I discoverd this flukish accuracy, after using it for a year of 3 gun competition, just blasting crap ammo. After all of that abuse, it still is the most accurate rifle I own. |
