Alright, I picked up a quad rail a year or two ago (I don't even remember) I went with a Cheaper UTG because frankly I don't think its worth it to me to buy a 300-600 dollar quad rail just to mount a vertical grip, Bipod and tac light

However, my question is...... Can someone tell me (even without that stuff) does it seem as if with other (more expensive) rails it is more balanced. When I am wearing my rifle with a 3 point sling I don't have any complaints or notice any balance issues.

I am not planning on buying another rail any time soon (I is poor ) but is it going to make a MAJOR differnce or will it be heavier on that end no matter what?

Sorry about the crappy pic

I am also planning on getting new rail covers... so don't make fun of em lol

It's kind of a loaded question.....

1) if you wanted light and less expensive, then why not go with a tube like the JP?
2) if weight is an issue, then why have a light, a bipod, etc., etc.?
3) You appear to be saying your front end is heavy....is that a heavy barrel on that rifle (looks like it from the images)?  That could make a big difference

If you want more "balance" and weight isn't an issue, then consider getting some lead inserts for your buttstock.

Yeah I am just wondering if others are more "balanced"

Weight is really not an issue for me, especially lately II normally don't have anything on my rail except the vertical grip. I will sometimes put a light on it but lately its just the grip.

Thanks for pointing that out. are other rails more balanced then this one because they weigh less?

I didn't even think about putting anything in the stock. on a side note I don't like the "Tube" look, and yes its a heavy barrel. I will never have a pencil barrel or anything that is not going to take the heat

When you spend more money on a rail system, you get three very important things.

1) Light weight.

2) Very sturdy

3) Good customer service (should something break, etc.)

To answer your question about balance, YES. A lighter weight rail will make your rifle handle way better even if you are just using it to mount a VFG.

There is something between a HB and a 'pencil' bbl. It's called a government profile. Many, myself included, consider it to be the best handling rifle bbl profile.

If you ever want to shed some serious weight, consider changing your bbl out.

HBs are good for bench shooting and just about nothing else...
