I want to change the factory butt stock on my Stag (figured why not I've changed just about everything else....j/k).  Do I have to remove the castle nut and the tube to remove it or is there another way to do it without taking off those two?  TIA.

pull down on the lever instead of squeezing it and slide it off the "tube" to the rear.
