I went with the 4lb trigger work,at the range today. I am totally satisfied with the pull of the trigger on my Bushmaster 14.5 with the muzzle brake. There is absollutely no creep, play, or notchiness. The trigger breaks the same everytime, which by the way it does not take much movement of the trigger to engage, should I say a short throw.Groups are even more consistent.

Keith I'm glad you are happy with your trigger. I wish that I had the good results that most others tend to report. I sent Bill two Rock River triggers and one would stick at the second stage and the other became a single stage. Bill was prompt and helpful on the phone and suggested I return them. Upon return one still stuck at the second stage and the other would still go single stage at times.

I now have Geissele high-speeds in my lowers and am very happy. Nothing at all against Bill because it is obvious he has done great work for many people.

I sent my factory trigger to Bill Springfield for his 4lb trigger.  I love it.  Works great.  As far as your RRA trigger sticking at the 2nd stage, I wouldn't attribute that to anything Bill Springfield did.  I have a RRA trigger, and I think it was somewhat out of spec because I couldn't get it to work properly in one of my receivers, but it worked in another.  Then after my first trip to the range, it started sticking at the 2nd stage as well.  I'm gonna get the 3 lb. trigger from Bill Springfield next time to replace the RRA.  $120 for an RRA trigge, $80 for a Bill Springfield trigger.........you decide.

Another +1 for Bill. Got my RRA single stage back yesterday and it is much improved. Trigger is Crisp, no notchiness, just as advertised. Quick turnaroud. He pays return shipping out of the $35 you send him so the trigger job really is only $30. He also takes personal checks, No money order required. All factors are WIN!

I believe all RR triggers are 2-stage. I asked for the 3lb job and tried them in two different lowers. Someone mentioned that maybe it was more the RR triggers than Bill and I tend to think this is possible. Some people have had issues with consistency in these triggers. I did find it a little strange that both triggers had some issues. One was new and the other had about 700 rounds shot.

I forgot to mention,I sent him my whole lower receiver,I paid 13.00 extra and that was for return shipping.Let alone he had to strip my trigger and place it back in the lower receiver. This way you know everything works together before it goes out.I also received it in 9 days counting from the day I sent it out.

+1.  If you really want your match trigger dialed in, send the receiver.  I did this with my FAL, and a dedicated .50 cal lower with RRA 2 stage trigger using a heavy hammer spring.  They both turned out perfect.

Not all RR triggers are two stage.  When you buy one of their  lower parts kit, you usually get the single stage trigger, unless you specify the 2-stage.
