I'm looking for a Harris bipod adapter with a QD lever. I know ARMS, LaRue, and ADM all make one. Am I missing any other brands?
Thank you |

Those are the 3 that come to mind for me.
Offering a different opinion from the poster above, ARMS would be at the bottom of my list of those 3. I've had multiple ARMS mounts loosen and/or fail over the years, and a bipod mount is subject to more force than most any other application (when you load the bipod by leaning forward, etc.) I have an ARMS bipod QD mount sitting in a drawer, pulled it off after an ARMS light mount failed to keep tension. I have multiple ADM mounts and a couple of LaRue items, and they are all far more robust and refined than the ARMS options. About the only upside I can see to the ARMS bipod mounts is that they seem to be lower profile, if that's an issue for you (and even that is subjective, as I have not put them side by side) One other high point of the LaRue and ADM bipod mounts is that they use a standard sling swivel as a means to attach the bipod to the mount, allowing you to easily remove the bipod with no tools and use it in a standard configuration on another rifle. The ARMS requires you to disassemble part of the bipod and attach it to the mount, which requires tools and the removal of certain factory parts. Don't lose those parts or the bipod becomes a paperweight unless you affix it to another ARMS mount... The LaRue and ADM are both about 1/3 cheaper than the ARMS model, at around $70. Lower price, easier install and more robust mounts make it a no-brainer for me... |
