Got a Bushmaster Predator.  No flash hider on the end.  Looking at the end of the barrel I can see what looks to be a shiny lining.  It's supposed to be non chrome lined so what wondering what I may be looking at.  My other ARs all have flash hiders so not possible to see this end usually.

that would be chrome lining.

ETA- if you look through the bore, you should should it reflect all the way down if it is CLed.

I kinda thought that too however as stated by Bushmaster:
The 20" Bushmaster Barrel is fluted 4150 ChroMoly Vanadium Steel (non- chrome lined) with sharp 1 x 8” twist rifling for the heavier bullets typically used on bigger varmints and predators

So if they say it's not chrome lined that got me wondering what I was looking at.

I got to thinking maybe it was just something along the crown, thats why I added the part about looking through it- when chrome lined, it is very obvious.

I emailed Bushmaster and this is what I got back:

Hello,
The barrel is non chrome lined. A crowning reamer was used to remove
any phosphate at the crown to insure good accuracy.

   Thank you,
