What do I need to do to go from 1/2" x 28 thread to 5/8-24 thread?
Thanks.

if it is currently an OD thread, it will have to be built up with weld first.
if it is an ID thread, you need a 14.75 mm drill and a 5/8 - 24 unf tap.

Ok..it is the OD demensions...is there a sleeve that would have to get welded on, or would I have to get it welded, then someone to rethread it?
Has ADCO all over it?
ETA: THere is a .308 AR Flash Suppressor I want installed on a .223 bbl I have.

if its an od thread, then yes a 1/2"-28 id X 5/8"-24 od sleeve would work without being welded, just thread it on.

Is this something that is made? White Oak? other BBL companies?

now on that one i dont know, im just a machinist Captain...not a gun smith
ETA if you are not able to find one, the easy way to make it is to find a 5/8-24 bolt, cut off the length you need, then drill and tap it.
