Just ordered three from Essential Arms for about $360 shipped total.

Be advised, getting through to a human to talk to is like hitting the lottery, but the guy I talked to was very nice and helpful. It was a nice change from the usual customer service that I have come to expect from most retailers now a days.

Anyway, they are about two weeks behind in shipping, but he said I would definitely have them in hand in three weeks. This was also the experience of one of the guys @ work.  Shipped in about 10 days.

Calvary Arms is back in production and their one piece stripped lowers are going for about $150. Quite a savings when you figure in the stock and grip.

Other than tactical colors will cost slightly more.

Yall usually order first and then get your FFL to send their info? I'm new to buying online and hadn't done a transfer before.
Was thinking about trying to get a lower from essential myself.

*edit... I'm new to buying guns/gun parts online. I'm not completely lost on how to buy stuff on the internets.

I would first find a dealer in your local area that will do transfers.  If you don't have a friendly dealer, they can be found @ http://www.gunbroker.com/User/DealerNetwork.asp

A fee of around $20 is about average.  Ask what their terms are in advance, then place the order.  Usually, you buy the item and then have your local guy send  his copy of FFL to the place you are buying from.  It is nice to have all your ducks in a row, so your dealer doesn't have to spend any extra time on it.  Get all the info about Essential, or whom ever, for your dealer, Phone, fax #'s , address, contact person, and order #(if there is one) in case they need it.  It may help out when your dealer send his FFL to have your information and order #, so Essential can match it up easier.  Every business seems to do things a little different, so it is good to be prepared.

I have the luxury of having my dealers FFL in my desk. I just order, fax it myself, and then drop him an email, so he will be expecting a package for me. I would not expect that kind of treatment from most dealers.

Last gun show had Essential Arms for 125 and Superior for 130.  Was also a lot of craziness but at least around here they can be found.
