Has anyone tried using a 9" mid-length Omega rail over the gas block on a carbine yet?  Would this even work with the Omega rails?

Anyone who has done this and has pics......

Look in the new products section. There is a thread on the Omega with pictures.

A local shop put one on a CMMG 14.5" light weight with a low pro gas block.  It looked sweet.  You don't need the front handguard cap as it is free floating.  Its just all the pictures you see still have the front handguard cap as thats what it was marketed towards...no disassembly.  But yes it works just fine and looks awesome.

Thanks.  Every pic I've found so far has shown the Omega behind the FSB.  I'm thinking about shaving my FSB down and using either a Troy 10" or the DD Omega 9" to cover the gas block.  I have a Omega 7 right now on my LMT and was hoping to see some pics of the 9" Omega w/o the FSB.  Lots of pics of S&W MPT to look at for the Troy option.....but I like the Omega.  I just wasn't sure if there was space for the gas block since it was designed as a drop-in FF rail.

FYI...They used a shaved FSB as the low pro gas block and it looked great.  Your GTG.
