I am in the midst of my first build and I decided on a Yankee Hill Machine upper. I called and ordered in early december and of course they were backordered. They quoted me delivery in January or February which led me to expect March or April given current demand.
So I was pleasantly suprised to find they charged my credit card on December 30 and even more pleased to recieve my upper (Diamond Specter XL) on January 5! Everyone was very friendly and helpful when I called to order and I recieved my upper extremely quickly. I dropped it onto my Stag lower and it fit like glove with no rattle. The rails seem to be perfectly in spec as far as I can tell. I attached a TLR light that fit perfect. The sights flip up and are steady and tight. Anyone who has any doubts about YHM's build quality should not be so worried. I am very impressed. I'll post pics in the build section as soon as I find the USB cable for the camera. |

I wanted one of those YHM uppers too. I called before Christmas and was told to expect delivery in May. So, I got a middy from PKF.
I may grab a YHM upper later on the next build.... Congrats on the purchase. This is the Sabre defense upper built by PK (my first midlength):
