I am looking for a good value lower reciever.  I am looking at an Anvil Arms reciever, but I really have had no experiance with the company.  Any recommendations?

While I've never used one, many folks around here seem to like the Anvil Arms lowers. Others that I've used that weren't priced as designer wear and serve their purpose well include CMMG, DoubleStar, Superior, Lauer (LMT) and Global Tactical.

Essential Arms (another I've never used) is often the cheapest, and people like them as well.

Fit and function wise all the lowers are pretty good nowadays. some are finished a bit shinyer or more matte than others, some have more social status than others, just get what you want.

Anvil makes a great lower, plus they will engrave it for free.

Mega Machine -
Great quality from a company that actually produces receivers instead of having their name engraved on the side of a lower made by someone else.  Their prices are hard to beat as well.

I generally use whatever is available and reasonably priced, but I prefer Mega.

So their 2 stage triggers are made by RRA?  Just wondering.  If they are, I'm ordering one tomorrow.

Check out AIM right now.  I just purchased a Aero Percision lower for $99.95.

I think they have a $79 special on Superior lowers right now.

+1. Gorgeous lowers and the best deal around. A better deal than the Superiors, even though the are a few dollars more.

I just recently picked up 4 Anvil Arms lowers, they are great.  Fit and finish are nice, pmags drop free just fine and everything fit perfect, even the JP triggers.  Also I used a WOA lpk, miad grip and vltor emod stock.  Ill see if I can post picks soon.

I used to go with Superior Arms for the price, but was a little disappointed in the finish.  The guns work great, just didn't LOOK as nice as they could have.

I just picked up some MEGA lowers, and have to tell you, I think I may end up sticking with Mega from now on.
