I don't think they are real popular but that doesn't mean no one's had success with them. Of that muzzle device type I found success with the Noveske KX3.

ETA: For that matter the KX3 is the only way to go if you don't own a can.

I've got one of the linear comps on my 7.5. It seems to work well, but I haven't had a chance to try a KX3. I don't know what the difference would be.
