| I am looking at building an ar and was looking at the Ace ARFX skeleton stock. It looks like it would be nice, but I'm not sure if it is durable or not. Does anyone here have one and could they tell me how they feel about it? |

Durable?!? The ARFX is SOLID as hell!! I have one on my Stag, and it shoulders soooooo nice. Honestly, I doubt you will find anyone (who actually owns one) who says it's not solid/durable as hell. If you're rifle takes a shit, you can swing it by the stock, and not worry about it coming loose on the head of an intruder. They come with sling studs, and 4 locations on the stock to mount them. Gotta throw in a pic, just for good measure  .

That looks nice! Is that a 14.5 or 16 barrel? EDIT: any technique to slipping the foam on? Anything else we should know? |
Thanks. It's a 16" with a perm. attached comp. As far as getting the foam on, I couldn't tell you from experience, I ordered my lower with it installed. But I've read some WD40 will do the trick. Or people use hairspray, because it will let the foam slide on, and then when it dries, it holds it in place. |

I really liked mine when I had it on. It is a solid stock. The one in thepicture below is a shorty stock that was perfect for me. It is equal in length to the first stop on a standard collapsible stock. But after the AWB sunset, I just had to get an adjustable stock.

They have to be the toughest stocks ever made! If the receiver wouldn't break, you could probably do chin-ups on the thing!

I did, but ended up going with the full-size as I thought the entry might be a bit too small. Now I'm beginning to wonder. |
