Can you configure any BCG with any brand AR15 Upper?

Any of these will fit any of my ARs.

A unique exception would be if you owned one of the early 1990's Colts with the auto sear block that protrudes above the lower receiver. Colt made several variations of auto sear blocks. One of those variations blocked the auto sear area and also prevents the use of certain carriers. If that is the case, only the third of the above carriers would work.

I had been wondering about BCGs too. If I buy an upper without one, and buy the BCG from somewhere else, is it just a drop in part? Or will I have to have something done to it to get it to fit properly?
