[ARCHIVED THREAD] - LMT Lower Question

Has anybody had issues putting an LMT lower with a Bushmaster upper? I want a sopmod buttsock but I could sell my bushmaster lower and go to an LMT lower for basically the cost of the sopmod stock. I didn't know if it is worth changing the parts and then saving for an LMT upper.

sounds like a good idea to me, i would get the sopmod lower with the 2 stage trigger.

I don't have a Bushmaster but I have Colts and LMT and have no issues switching uppers and lowers.

If the components have no problems different brands of upper and lower halves should work fine, a lot of members here are doing it all the time.

I don't worry about the finish colors matching.

My Bushy fits my LMT lowers just fine. I don't care about finish either. If it's a wash, I'd rather have a complete factory assembled LMT lower than build it myself. But if you can save some money on the SOPMOD stock alone, I'd do that.

My Bushmaster mates great with LMT uppers/lowers

I ended up just selling my bushy upper

and sticking with a LMT M4 14.5 upper
