If you looked around, you would see that they are not for sale yet.

The pre-production units were available at the beginning of December through Magpul. If you weren't able to pick one up they should be releasing the production units soon(couple months).

I also love mine.;)

I did look around and I saw a few posts about people that had them and even saw some pictures of the that were not vendor threads..

So lighten up!!

Anyone know if they're planning on making a version for the Comm-spec guys? Or is it mil-spec only?

The UBR uses a proprietary entry-length tube (which it comes with), so you'll have to remove whatever buffer tube you already have on your rifle to install the UBR. That having been said, the UBR goes in seconds, since the buffer tube does not need to be indexed at all.

I lucked out and was able to get one of the pre-production models before they sold out:

IMHO it's the best adjustable stock available. The CTR is good but the UBR is a good bit better - it's also costs a lot more than the CTR.
As mentioned before it comes with it's own proprietary tube. The one Caveat is that it does require a CAR length spring and buffer. My Knight had a normal length buttstock so I had to run down a CAR Spring and Buffer.
Hopefully they will be out in full production soon. If you are wanting a collaspable stock I think you'll find them worth the wait......................DJ

I really wanted one, but the added weight is a concern.

I'm thinking about putting one on a rifle, but a carbine I'm having doubts about.

Anybody here have an opinion on the above?  Is it a vaild worry or should I buy the damn thing?

Buy one, a couple ounces aren't going to make a difference. If you think they do you'd be shooting a Carbon 15 or the like..........................DJ

get one.

the weight isn't an issue, if anything it will help your rifle balance a bit better.
